This image is rare, and has long been sold out. I was offered a copy recently and as it was an iconic image for me. I moved into a warehouse in Borough in the early 80s which overlooked the elevated trains heading from London Bridge to Waterloo. My interest in industrial architecture, and the "gritty" elements of South London became a series I called "Londoners' London". The detail show myself and a friend with our children on a day out, waiting on the platform for a train to Herne Bay in Kent . Another friend lived in Roupel Street, the first row shown here, and my own house appears under the arch half way up.
