Londoners' London

I was born in London and it is still the place I call home, and where my children live. These etchings were made in South London  the 1980s and 1990s when we lived as a family, in Catford, Clapham and Southwark and are based on the London unknown to the tourist: my "Londoners' London".  My studio in Southwark was overlooking the elevated railway which runs through Borough market, and I produced a series of images with trains running through, my "Trainscapes".  I was interested in warehouse and industrial architecture, as well as humble back street houses, and local parks. I spent many hours drawing and gathering material for these works.  Many of these editions are now sold out or are very limited
